Elver Spawn Tables

This article documents the loot spawn tables for the Elver curated map as defined in the map bundle. For server owners adjusting drop rates and for modders wanting to understand how Elver's loot economy is structured, each table is presented below with the chance every item has to appear when that table is rolled.

Elver organises its spawns under the Metro namespace, which is the internal identifier the map's author uses for all loot categories. The tables range from small focused pools like Metro_Box -- six guns with near-identical odds -- to sprawling catch-all pools like Metro_Dorms_05_Random, a 184-outcome table where the most common single result appears at only 2.047%. Understanding this spectrum is the first step toward reading Elver's economy.

How the Chance column works

Every spawn table in Unturned is a weighted list of items. When the game rolls on a table, it randomly selects one outcome from that list. The weight assigned to each outcome determines how often it is picked relative to the other outcomes in the same table. The Chance column shown in this article expresses each outcome's weight as a percentage of the total weights in its table.

For example, the Metro_Box table contains six items, five at a weight that nets 19.920% each and one outlier at 0.398%. If this table is rolled:

  • Five guns (Mosca, Heatwave, Rebel, Pandiculator, Hellcat) each have a 19.920% chance of appearing, or roughly one in five rolls each.
  • The Red Rebel appears at 0.398%, or about once per 250 rolls, making it the table's rare chase item.

Because the Chance column is a percentage of the table's own total, percentages across different tables are not directly comparable. A 10% chance in a 6-outcome table means the item represents one-tenth of that table's weight; a 10% chance in a 184-outcome table often means the item is one of the very few outcomes with a meaningful stake in a vast pool where most results sit below 1%.

Tables with many outcomes distribute the percentage shallowly. In Metro_Dorms_05_Random (184 outcomes), the most common individual result sits at 2.047%. Most entries appear well below 1%, meaning the player sees enormous variety but rarely the same item twice. Small tables concentrate the chance: in Metro_Box_2 (three outcomes), the 47.619% entries mean the table will almost always give one of those two ammo boxes.

When a table entry says "Legendary" in its Rarity column, that describes the item's own rarity tier, independent of the spawn chance. An item can be Legendary rarity and still have a high spawn chance in a small table -- it just means every time the table is rolled and that outcome is picked, the item that appears carries the Legendary tier label.

Metro Boxes: the locked-container tables

Elver uses several dedicated box-style spawn tables. These are small, focused pools that govern what appears in specific container types around the map. Each has a clear role.

Metro_Box

The Metro_Box table is a concentrated firearm pool. Five guns share equal weight; the Red Rebel is a rare outlier.

Table ID 57138, category Metro_Box, 6 outcomes

MoscaGunLegendary19.920%
HeatwaveGunLegendary19.920%
RebelGunLegendary19.920%
PandiculatorGunLegendary19.920%
HellcatGunLegendary19.920%
Red RebelGunLegendary0.398%

Every roll on this table is guaranteed to produce a Legendary-rarity gun, but five of the six are functionally interchangeable in terms of drop rate. The Red Rebel at 0.398% is the table's chase item -- a player opening these boxes will see the other five guns repeatedly before finding the Red Rebel. For server owners, this table's structure means the Red Rebel's rarity is not an item-level property but a table-level scarcity.

All nine outcomes share equal weight at 11.111% each. Six Epic-rarity crafting materials make up two-thirds of the table; the remaining three are Legendary sentry parts. This is a perfectly flat table -- every roll has the same odds for every outcome. Players seeking sentry parts will need to roll this table roughly three times on average to see one sentry component of any kind.

Metro_Box_2

The ammo box table. Three outcomes with a heavy lean toward the two general ammunition boxes.

The two ammunition boxes share equal weight and together cover 95.238% of the table. The Tank Shell appears at 4.762%, or about one in every 21 rolls. This is the most top-heavy table in the dataset -- nearly every result is one of two items. For players, this means a reliable, predictable ammo source from whatever container uses this table.

Metro_Box_3

Six outcomes at exactly equal weight. Five are Legendary-tier thick military clothing pieces covering every equipment slot except glasses and holster. The sixth is Epic-rarity Nightvision. A player who loots six of these boxes will, on average, see one of each item, though actual rolls will vary. This table ensures that containers using it always produce a wearable military item, never ammunition or materials.

The five Frozen Military clothing pieces share a lower weight tier at 3.125% each. Together the five frozen items cover 15.625% of the table, meaning roughly one in six rolls will produce a frozen military piece of some kind. The Christmas drops are concentrated in the 9.375% band and appear frequently.

Small item-specific tables

Three tables are defined for narrow, predictable purposes: scrap materials, animal products, and dyes.

Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow sit in a middle band at 6.349% each -- about one-quarter the weight of a primary colour. Brown at 3.175% and Black at 1.587% are the rarest. Players will see the primary colours frequently and the darker shades rarely, a structure that makes Black Dye a chase item within this table.

Fishing tables

Elver includes a fishing system with several interconnected tables. Fish-specific tables control which species are caught, while material tables produce crafting resources from the same activity.

The 38-outcome pool means individual material chances hover around 1.8-2.8%. For players chasing the quest fish, this is the only rod table where they appear outside the dedicated quest table.

Location-based spawn tables

The following tables govern spawns in specific map locations: civilian areas, dormitories, military zones, ranger areas, construction sites, dead zones, and airdrops. Unlike the specialised tables above, these serve as general-purpose loot pools for their assigned areas, often containing dozens of outcomes.

Sniper Rifle Magazine at 8.108% is a notable third. Unlike the standard Ranger table, this cult variant includes Epic attachments (Vertical Grip, Horizontal Grip, Reign Stock, Reverso Stock, Holographic Sight, Suppressor) in the sub-1% range, adding attachment drops to the pool. The guns (Blaster at 6.819%, Valentine split across two entries at 4.546% and 2.273%, Sauce at 3.409%) together cover about 17% of the table.

Military Bottom leads at 11.624%, but four guns (Wisp, Puck, Paug, Tusk) share the next tier at 9.009% each. Together, these four firearms cover 36.036% of the table -- a higher concentration of gun outcomes than any other table in this dataset. Military clothing (Tops, Shirts, Helmet, Vest, Backpacks) collectively appear in the lower half of the table, making this a gun-first zone. The MRE at 4.505% is the table's dedicated food item. Pistol Magazine appears twice at different weights.

The two ammunition boxes lead at 10.565% each. Five guns (Tusk, Valentine, Puck, Sauce, Paug) share an identical 5.283% weight, as do three magazines (Sniper Rifle, Assault Rifle, Pistol) and the Military Backpack and Canteen. This creates a broad flat middle where nine different item categories appear at the same rate. Barrel and Tactical attachments sit in the lower tier: Suppressor and Flash Hider at 1.761%, and the two stocks (each appearing twice) at 1.321%. Airdrops on Elver reward with highly varied drops across ammo, guns, magazines, and gear.

Grips (Vertical, Horizontal) appear multiple times as separate table entries, as do 4x Scope and Pistol Magazine. This table is designed to produce attachments broadly -- no single attachment type significantly stands out above the others. With 32 outcomes at near-uniform weights, players will see a wide variety of sights, grips, barrels, magazines, and stocks from this dormitory room.

Canned Beans

Elver is one of the notable curated maps where Canned Beans does not appear in the loot economy. The verified bean data for this map confirms the absence: zero spawn tables across the full 167-table map assign the Canned Beans item.

For the running bean-lore thread on this wiki, the absence matters. Every official Unturned map distributes the generic Canned Beans item somewhere in its civilian tables, making it a shared touchstone from PEI through Arid. Elver breaks that pattern. A player entering Elver expecting to see Canned Beans in kitchen cabinets or civilian pantries will never find one. A mod pack author or server owner adding a custom bean recipe or bean dependency to an Elver server must either seed the item through an NPC, a loot-add override, or accept that beans will never drop from the map's own spawns.

Practical use for server owners and modders

Adjusting loot rates. Every percentage in the tables above is a fraction of the table's own total weight. To increase an item's drop rate on a server, add to its relative weight within the table rather than setting an absolute percentage. Because weights only have meaning relative to other weights in the same table, doubling one item's weight will raise its chance at the expense of every other item in the pool.

Small table changes have big effects. In Metro_Box_2 with only three outcomes, changing the Tank Shell weight from its current position at 4.762% to match the ammo boxes would reduce both ammo box chances from 47.619% southward. The same absolute weight change in Metro_Dorms_05_Random (184 outcomes) would shift the top entry by fractions of a percent and be almost invisible to players.

Adding new items to a table. When a modder adds a custom item to an existing spawn table, that item's weight dilutes every other outcome in the table. The degree of dilution depends on the table's total weight. A new item with a moderate weight in a three-outcome table can push an existing outcome's chance down by ten points. The same weight in a 184-outcome table shifts each other outcome by well under a tenth of a percent.

Fishing economy tuning. The three rod tables (Metro_Fishing_Rod, Metro_Fishing_Rod_THICC, Metro_Fishing_Rod_THICCER) are the intersection of species drops and material drops. Each is its own isolated pool. Increasing the Fish chance in the standard rod table does not affect the THICC or THICCER tables, and vice versa. Server owners who want to adjust the relative value of low-tier versus high-tier fishing rods should tune each rod table independently.

The Red Rebel outlier. Server owners who want the Red Rebel to be more accessible should note that its rarity in Metro_Box is purely table-level: its weight is exactly 2% of the other five guns' weight. Multiplying its weight by five would raise its chance from 0.398% upward while reducing the other five guns equally. The item would remain Legendary rarity, but the spawn rate would increase.

Coverage limitation

This article presents 28 of the 167 spawn tables on the Elver map. Another 98 tables with three or more distinct outcomes were not included in this extraction, and a further 41 tables contain fewer than three outcomes and were excluded from the dataset.
