Official Unturned Map Spawn Tables Reference
Unturned loot spawns are driven by a system of weighted tables. Understanding these tables is the difference between guessing what a location drops and knowing exactly what the game files say. This article documents the spawn tables for the core official maps -- PEI, Washington, Russia, Germany, Yukon, and Hawaii -- drawn from a decompiled Core bundle containing 785 spawn tables, 412 of which have three or more distinct outcomes.
How Unturned Loot Tables Work
A spawn table is a named list of possible outcomes, each assigned a weight. When the game needs to produce loot at a location or from a container, it consults one or more tables. The chance column in the tables below is that entry's percentage share of all weights in the table. If a table has three entries each weighted at 10, the chance for any one is 33.333%. If one entry has weight 50 and another has weight 10, the first is five times more likely to appear.
Roots and Nested Tables
Tables can reference other tables. A root table is the first table the game looks up for a given location. A root might say "roll on this clothing table, then roll on this food table." Those referenced tables are nested tables, which can themselves reference further tables. This is why the same item can appear in multiple tables at different odds -- it sits at the end of different lookup chains.
Reading the Chance Column
The chance is the literal percentage stored in the game data. It is not a "drop rate" after probability modifiers. A chance of 6.335% means that item occupies 6.335% of its parent table's total weight. If the game rolls that table once, it has that probability of selecting that row. If the game rolls the table multiple times per container, the item can appear more than once. The chance column reflects the weight, not the probability of seeing the item in a single container visit, because the container may reference multiple tables or roll the same table several times.
Map-Prefixed Tables vs. Shared Tables
Some tables carry a map prefix -- PEI_Camp, Washington_Food, Yukon_Cloth_Arctic -- and some do not -- Camp, Food, Special_High. A map-prefixed table is specific to that map. A shared table without a prefix is the generic fallback used by maps that do not define their own version. When PEI and Washington both have PEI_Camp and Washington_Camp, those tables exist because those maps override the generic Camp table with identical data. The practical effect is that modders can modify one map's loot without touching another's by editing only the prefixed table.
Wild Tables (Animals)
The animal spawn tables define which animals can appear on each map. Five maps share the same temperate wild table; the snow maps use a distinct arctic variant.
Temperate Wild Tables
PEI, Washington, Russia, Germany, and Hawaii all use the same three-animal pool at equal weights.

Every temperate map gives equal odds to Deer, Pig, and Cow. The map-prefixed versions and the shared Wild fallback are identical. A server owner who wants to restrict animals to Deer only would need to edit five map-prefixed tables plus the shared fallback to close every path.
Arctic Wild Tables
Yukon and the arctic regions of other maps replace the temperate trio with Moose, Wolf, and Bear.

Moose is the dominant animal in arctic regions, appearing six times as often as either Wolf or Bear. The weights are not equal; three out of four animal spawns will be a Moose. For a player scouting Yukon for food, Moose is the reliable encounter. For a server owner tuning predator density, Bear and Wolf share the same weight, so raising or lowering both together is a single change to either weight.
Airdrop Table (Beacon)
The Beacon table governs airdrop crate contents. It is the smallest high-value table on the core maps, with a steep drop-off between its common tier and its Legendary tier.

The Beacon table is heavily weighted toward Epic-tier military-grade weapons and their magazines. Each of the 13 Epic entries sits at 5.650%, meaning roughly 73% of a single roll lands on an Epic outcome. The four Legendary outcomes -- Timberwolf, Timberwolf Magazine, Grizzly Magazine, and PDW -- are each at half that weight (2.825%). The Matamorez Magazine rounds out the top 18 at 2.825% despite being tagged Epic, because its weight in the full 24-outcome table is lower than the other Epic entries.
For a server owner, the Beacon table is a direct tuning lever for airdrop value. Halving the weight of every Epic entry would roughly double the relative chance of a Legendary outcome appearing.
Carepackage Table
The Xmas_Presents table governs holiday carepackage drops. It shares its item pool with the Beacon table but at substantially lower individual chances, and most of its total probability mass is unresolved.

The unresolved percentage is the important number here. The 18 items listed above account for only about 3.23% of the table's total weight. The remaining 96.77% points to a nested table that was not present in the decompiled bundle. In practice, this means the vast majority of holiday carepackage rolls produce items from that missing sub-table, and the Beacon-tier weapons listed here are rare secondary outcomes. A server owner looking to adjust holiday loot should first locate and inspect that missing nested table, since it controls the bulk of what players receive.
Clothing Tables (Cloth)
Civilian clothing tables appear on every map. They are the largest item tables in the core bundle, with 112 apiece, covering hats, shirts, and pants in a wide colour spread.

All four temperate cloth tables plus the shared fallback are identical. Fedora and Tophat are the two most common outcomes, each at 6.335%. The shirt and t-shirt variants follow at 1.471% per colour per style. With 16 shirt entries at 1.471% each, a shirt of some colour is collectively more common than a single hat, but no individual shirt colour stands out. For a player searching civilian wardrobes, a hat of some kind is the single most likely find. For a server owner, changing a clothing table means changing five identical tables to keep all maps consistent.

The arctic table is half the size of the temperate version (53 outcomes versus 112). Pants entries dominate the top of the table: five jean and trouser variants share 6.188% each, together accounting for roughly 31% of a single roll. Parkas sit at 3.789% per colour, and toques round out the hat tier at 2.773%. The lower outcome count means each individual item is more likely per roll in arctic tables than in temperate ones, where the weight is spread across 112 results. A player looting a Yukon house for clothing will find pants frequently, parkas moderately, and toques slightly less often.

Temperate camp tables are dominated by 20 Gauge Shells at 10.159%, the highest per-item chance in any civilian item table on the core maps. The fishing clothing set (Hat, Top, Bottom) collectively accounts for about 15.5% of outcomes, making it the most common outfit theme at campgrounds. The six melee tools (Camp Axe, Pocketknife, Flashlight, Saw, Paddle, Shovel) share identical weights at 3.079% each. A player who clears a campground can expect to find shells and a fishing clothing item on most visits, with a spread of tools and arrows as secondary loot.

Arctic camp tables are larger than their temperate counterparts (55 versus 51 outcomes) and introduce four additional low-tier firearms: Hawkhound, Schofield, Masterkey, and Sportshot, each at 2.022%. The Compound Bow also appears here at 2.291%. The 20 Gauge Shells chance is slightly higher in arctic camps (10.579% versus 10.159%), and Pine Arrow replaces Birch Arrow and Maple Arrow with a single entry at 5.728%. Food items (Cheese, Carrot, Corn) sit near the bottom of the visible range at 1.827% each.
Both arctic camp tables carry a 5.93% unresolved reference, meaning a small portion of their weight points to a sub-table absent from this bundle. The visible 94.07% of outcomes, however, are fully resolved and identical between the Yukon-prefixed and shared versions.

Fragmentation Grenades dominate the high Russian tables at 13.500%, more than double any other single entry. MREs follow at 7.500%. The Ranger Drum at 5.062% is the highest single magazine entry, and the three Ranger-specific barrel attachments (Suppressor, Muzzle, Barrel) each contribute 3.750%. Together, Ranger-specific entries account for a substantial share of outcomes, making these tables a dedicated Ranger-gear pipeline.
The scope spread runs from the Uncommon Kobra Sight (2.812%) through the Rare 7x and 8x Scopes (2.812% each) to the Epic 16x Scope (2.812%). All four share the same weight, which is an intentional design choice: the game does not make long-range scopes rarer than short-range ones within this table.

The Peaks tables have 55 outcomes, four more than the Russian Special_High tables. The key difference is the inclusion of Military-grade attachments alongside Ranger-grade ones. The Military Drum and Ranger Drum share equal footing at 2.531% each. Military and Ranger barrel attachments each appear at 1.875% per variant, making the Peaks tables a mixed-source loot pool where both faction lines of gear can appear. For a player, this means Germany's mountain dead zones can yield either Military or Ranger attachments from the same container.
America-Centric Tables
The America tables govern Washington's military loot and use Military-grade equipment as their core theme, with some crossover into Ranger gear.

The America table has the highest Fragmentation Grenade chance of any table in this extraction at 20.810%. Frag grenades account for more than one in five outcomes. Tactical Laser and Tactical Light share 5.040% each, together covering over 10% of rolls. Military-grade barrel attachments (Barrel, Muzzle, Suppressor) each sit at 3.360%, and the three grip variants (Bipod, Horizontal Grip, Vertical Grip) match at the same weight.
The America table is notably shallower than the Peaks or Russia tables at 49 outcomes versus 51 or 55. With fewer items splitting the weight, individual chances are higher across the board. The High Caliber Military Ammunition Crate at 3.689% is the only ammunition supply in the top 18, and the Military Nightvision and Alicepack -- both Epic -- appear at 2.880% each, items that are absent from the Ranger-centric tables above.
Canned Beans
Canned Beans (item ID 13, type Food) are a recurring reference item on this wiki. Their spawn data across the core maps reveals two distinct spawning patterns.
Canned Beans (item ID 13, type Food) appears in 7 loot tables on this map.
| Spawn table | Category | Chance per roll |
|---|---|---|
| Food_Canned | Items | 10.000% |
| PEI_Food | Items | 0.940% |
| Food | Items | 0.940% |
| Washington_Food | Items | 0.940% |
| Yukon_Food | Items | 0.940% |
| Russia_Food | Items | 0.940% |
| Peaks_Food | Items | 0.940% |
Highest bean concentration: Food_Canned at 10.000% per roll.
The Food_Canned table is the dedicated canned-goods spawn table. With beans at 10.000%, a roll on this table has a one-in-ten chance of producing the iconic can. The remaining six tables are the map-prefixed food tables for PEI, Washington, Yukon, Russia, and Germany (Peaks), plus the shared Food fallback. In these six tables, beans sit at 0.940%, meaning beans are a low-probability outcome in general food spawns -- the kind of item a player sees occasionally when looting kitchen cabinets, not something to rely on.
For a server owner, doubling the bean weight in Food_Canned to 20.000% changes the dedicated canned-foods table without affecting the general food spawns, where beans remain a rare find. If the goal is to make beans ubiquitous across all food containers, the six map-prefixed food tables must each be edited separately, because no single shared table controls them all.
For the full bean canon on this wiki, see /lore/canned-beans-lore.
Practical Use for Server Owners and Modders
Spawn tables are not static lore. They are configurable game data, and understanding their structure is the first step to modifying server loot behaviour.
Tuning Loot for a Custom Server
Every table above is editable through the game's spawn table files. The most common modifications are:
Adjusting rarity weights. To make an item more common, increase its weight relative to other entries in the same table. Because weight is relative, doubling one item's weight pushes all other items lower. A server owner creating a "hardcore" experience might reduce the weight of MREs in the Special_High table from 7.500% to something lower, making food scarcer at military locations.
Adding or removing outcomes. A table can grow by adding new rows with custom weights. A roleplay server might add civilian clothing variants to the Cloth tables. Removing an item means deleting its row or setting its weight to zero, which redistributes that item's share of probability across the remaining entries.
Map-specific overrides. Because most tables have map-prefixed versions alongside a shared fallback, a modder can tune one map's loot without changing any other map. Editing Washington_Special_America changes Washington's military loot; the shared Special_America table and every other map's military table remain untouched. This is the intended extension point for map-specific customisation.
Reading the Unresolved Percentages
Two tables in this extraction carry unresolved references: Xmas_Presents at 96.77% and Camp_Arctic / Yukon_Camp_Arctic at 5.93% each. An unresolved reference means the table points to a nested table that was not included in the decompiled Core bundle. For the Xmas_Presents table, the unresolved percentage controls nearly all outcomes. A modder working on holiday loot should locate the referenced sub-table before making changes, because modifying only the visible entries would affect less than 4% of the total probability mass.
Table Dependency Chains
The game resolves loot by walking a chain of table references. A container at a military location might start at a root table specific to that building type, which references a faction table (Military or Ranger), which references an ammunition table, and so on. Understanding the full chain for a single container type requires tracing each reference. The tables in this extraction are individual nodes in those chains. For a modder adding a new item to the game, placing it in the right chain means finding the table closest to the intended container type, not necessarily the highest-level root.
Consistency Across Maps
The data reveals a design pattern: when a map-specific table exists, it is almost always an identical copy of the shared fallback. The camp tables, cloth tables, and wild tables all repeat the same weights across five or more map-prefixed variants. This duplication gives map authors the option to diverge without breaking the default behaviour. A server owner who wants PEI campgrounds to feel different from Washington campgrounds can edit PEI_Camp and leave Washington_Camp alone. By default they are the same; the infrastructure for difference is there.
Coverage Limitations
This extraction covers 29 of the 785 spawn tables in the Core bundle. A further 384 tables in the bundle contain three or more distinct outcomes and were not included. The excluded tables span ammunition type tables, rarer speciality tables, secondary clothing tables, and map-specific tables for individual buildings and sub-locations. When modifying loot for a specific container or location, verify that the table you are editing is the actual table referenced by that container's root chain. The tables presented here are the major structural tables -- the ones you reach from multiple container types across multiple maps. The missing 384 tables are the fine-grained building-level tables that hang below them in the reference chain.
