The Nulirane facility leaves several questions unresolved:
- What was the facility's true research objective? The official cover story -- livestock disease research -- is contradicted by the facility's security infrastructure, its personnel's expertise, and its encrypted communications.
- Where did the evacuated researchers go? The military convoy that extracted the researchers did not report to any known facility. The destination and current status of the researchers are unknown.
- Was Nulirane connected to the AARS? The two facilities conducted similar research with similar security measures. Whether they were part of a coordinated network or independent parallel programs is not documented.
- Did Nulirane's research continue elsewhere? If the researchers reached their destination and continued their work, their knowledge may still be advancing somewhere in the post-collapse world.
